Discover The 'Quiz Master In You'

Dear Fellow-Bhagavathas,

Hope most of you enjoyed reading Mannargudi Sri Rajagopalacharya Swami's article 'Swami Desika an Incarnation of Lord Venkateswara and the first episode of the new series 'Swami Desika Master of Analogy' by Smt. S. Padmalatha. For those who have yet to read them, they are available at the side menu Articles/Features.

Last month (Editor's Note - 3), we had asked the participants their views and preference about including/not including analytical questions. A few feedbacks we have received have strongly voted for the continuance of such questions. It has been decided to extend the time for receipt of feedback on the subject till 25th September before deciding on the issue. Views may be sent through feedback@svdd.com.

We understand that there is a great urge among participants of the quiz programme 'Trail Our Glorious Sampradaya' to contribute questions for the same. As a mode to fulfil the same, we are launching a new programme called 'Quiz Master in You' through which a participant may send in a maximum of three questions per month. The best among all the questions received, according to us, will figure as the 10th question of the next month's quiz with due credit. We hope this will find spontaneous favour from the participants. The guidelines and template for sending in the question(s) are available in the above link under 'What's New'. This will surely encourage pro-active references to the materials on our Sampradaya and generally increase the reading habit.

The eagerly-awaited Children's Quiz 'Trail Our Glorious Sampradaya Junior' will be launched on October 1, 2008, with Swami Desika as the theme. Children in the age group of 7 to 17 years will be eligible to participate. The format of the quiz will be simple and similar to that of 'Match the following', with 10 points on the left hand side and 15 options on the right hand side to choose from and match. Elders are requested to tune-up their wards for the same.

In his feedback, Olakkur Srinivasan, Chennai, has written that it would be nice and beneficial to the elders if the Tamil translation of the new series 'Swami Desika Master of Analogy' is also posted. A good suggestion but we have to say that we are tied by logistical limitations at present. However, efforts will be made to overcome the same and to use progressively more and more use of Tamil in the website.
